Hawaiian Frog Burgers
Ingredients
4 chicken patties
4 burger buns
4 slices of Dole Tropical Gold pineapple, cut into 1cm rounds (core and skin removed)
4 slices of cheese + 2 cut into 8 small circles slightly smaller than the cucumber rounds
2 tomatoes, sliced
2 handfuls of lettuce
BBQ or teriyaki sauce
Extras
16 small gherkins, cut into 2mm rounds + 1 cut into 4 length slices
6 slices of cucumber
2 black olives, each sliced into 4 rounds
Method
- Cook the chicken patties according to instructions.
- Fill the burger buns with ingredients except for the additional cheese.
- Cut two slits into the tops of the burger buns to push the cucumber rounds into. Place the cheese rounds on top of the cucumber, followed by the olive rounds.
- Create an upside-down v shape with two gherkins and rest against the side of a burger as legs. Use toothpicks if needed. Continue to do this for each leg. If any gherkins are leftover, you can cut little feet out.
