Bacon, Banana and Burrata Flatbread Pizzas
Combine unexpected ingredients into one extraordinary meal: Bacon, Banana and Burrata Flatbread Pizzas. That’s right - this isn’t your everyday flatbread pizza. We’re pairing crispy savoury bacon with the sweet, creamy comfort of ripe bananas and topping it with gooey burrata cheese and basil pesto. Each bite offers a mix of salty, sweet and savoury flavours that will have your taste buds dancing.
Ingredients
4 pieces streaky bacon, chopped
3 tbsp harissa paste (or pasta sauce)
½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 Dole Bobby Bananas, sliced
1 ball of burrata cheese
3 tbsp basil pesto
handful of rocket
Method

Preheat your oven to 180ºC.

Cook the bacon in a pan until cooked through and slightly crispy.

Place the flatbreads on lined baking trays. Bake for 5 minutes or until slightly golden and remove from the oven. Change the oven to 200ºC fan grill.

Spread the flatbreads with harissa paste or pizza sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Add the sliced banana and crispy bacon pieces. Grill for 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

Tear the burrata into large chunks and place on the flatbreads. Drizzle with basil pesto and top with rocket. Eat while it’s hot!
